Chatsworth house is surrounded by an incredible park - used to be the family seat of the dukes of Devonshire. Haddon Hall considered the "ideal of the English country house" a medieval manor along the banks of the River Wye. |

St. Michael's Mount off of the coast of Mount's Bay rising on a huge granite island complete with 14th century castles is just one of the many magnificent places you can discover on your own. |
| THE LAKE DISTRICT |
| Best described as one large park; this is Wordsworth country. Places like Windermere, Kendal and Grasmere are an open invitation to endless walks stopping in market towns, boat trips across the lakes, and visiting the places associated with the great poet. We recommend you visit the District during the Summer for the best weather, although September and October are much less crowded. The Southern Lakes are by far the most popular with Windermere and Kendal being the top destinations. |
