LANCASHIRE

The PEAK DISTRICT AND DERBYSHIRE VYE VALLEY are ideal for those who enjoy walking and hiking. The Peak District is one of the country's finest national parks. Here you may visit the stately manors of the past such as Haddon Hall, Chatsword House driving up narrow country roads. Chatsworth house is surrounded by an incredible park - used to be the family seat of the dukes of Devonshire. Haddon Hall considered the "ideal of the English country house" a medieval manor along the banks of the River Wye.

YORKSHIRE - Emily Brontee's Country

The largest region of England with rugged landscapes, the Yorkshire Moors, and quiet villages. Ruined abbeys rise above the landscapes while the lush Yorkshire Dales are crossed by waterfalls, rivers and streams. Visit Haworth, in the heart of Bronte Country and Bolton Priory which is surrounded by some of the finest scenery of the area. York has a fascinating city center with narrow streets and alleys with a varied selection of museums and activities. York Minster is the largest Gothic Churc in England and a sight to behold.

CORNWALL, DEVON and SOMERSET

From the tip of Land's End to the heath-covered moorlands of Dover to lush river valleys and spectacular coastlines. This is one of the finest regions to visit outside London and for centuries has featured in British literature. King Arthur's legend is tied to the West Country. Devon is famous for its striking moorlands, and its coastal beauty has been praised throughout the ages. Instead the coast of Cornwall enjoys some spectacular views. St. Michael's Mount off of the coast of Mount's Bay rising on a huge granite island complete with 14th century castles is just one of the many magnificent places you can discover on your own.

THE LAKE DISTRICT

Best described as one large park; this is Wordsworth country. Places like Windermere, Kendal and Grasmere are an open invitation to endless walks stopping in market towns, boat trips across the lakes, and visiting the places associated with the great poet. We recommend you visit the District during the Summer for the best weather, although September and October are much less crowded. The Southern Lakes are by far the most popular with Windermere and Kendal being the top destinations.

PLUS

Shakespeare country, Cantebury, the stately homes and castles around Tunbridge Wells and the South with Winchester, salisbury and Dorset. The choice and selection is endless - the decision up to you. Most of all, England is a country whose history has fascinated

generations with the stories of individuals and places intricately woven together. the combination of the above with breathtaking scenery is irresistible.
